Local Organizations Join to 'Pack the Pantries' 10.21.10

Several community organizations have banded together to feed the hungry of central Indiana. "Pack The Pantries" kicked off Wednesday at Shortridge Magnet School.

Mayor Greg Ballard, the Indianapolis Colts, Pacers along with Gleaners and Midwest Food Banks are all holding events to gather food and monetary donations.

This year's theme is "A Case for Giving" which urges residents, companies, and local organizations to donate a case of food.

Donations can be dropped off at any fire station in Indianapolis and 15 parks in the city.

The Colts are asking for donations at their November 14th game and events are planned on Monument Circle in early December.
